Age:12

Time:1,5 hour

Aims: vocabulary connected with shopping, going out, communicating skills

Objectives: using shopping vocabulary and other vocabulary connected with going out in practice and learning how to behave at a shop, post office, and restaurant

Materials: props connected with particular services, posters;

 

 

Lesson 1.

 

Step 1: Teacher asks students to think about how to start a conversation at the shop, restaurant, post office, or in the street; Teacher writes students' suggestions on board

 

Step 2: Teacher divides students into four groups; groups write dialogues that might take place at one of the four places with a role for each member of the group. Teacher is walking about the classroom prompting, supporting, correcting possible mistakes.

 

At home students prepare for the performance of their dialogues in class. They memorize the dialogues and prepare props, costumes and posters.

 

Lesson 2.

 

Each group presents their dialogue with props, movements, posters.
